An insightful webinar on sustainability and lactose supply consistency

During this session, you will learn about Lactalis Ingredients Pharma and its rich history, starting with world’s first dairy company Lactalis Group and the lactose manufacturing expertise of Lactalis Ingredients.

A special emphasis will be placed on our manufacturing site of Retiers, in Western France. Retiers is a state-of-the-art production plant, that embodies our brand’s positioning as a lactose trusted expert. Indeed, this facility guaranties an optimum environment with its equipments that meet the Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 and EXCiPACT quality requirements.

More than the industrial expertise inherited by Lactalis Ingredients, our production site benefits from the raw whey resource supply from Lactalis Group. These consistent raw material volumes contribute to securing the European drug supply, since our lactose can be produced at all times.

Then, as the sustainability of the pharmaceutical market and the environmental preservation is more important than ever, we will share the important work deployed by Retiers on CSR and more specifically on water resource preservation.

Finally, you will get to know more about our Lactalpha range of milled and sieved lactose for OSD applications and its 3 references that comply with the monographs of the current Pharmacopoeias (Ph. Eur., USP-NF and JP):

  • Lactalpha 50: a 50-mesh sieved lactose monohydrate for sachets and capsules filling.
  • Lactalpha 100: a 100-mesh milled lactose monohydrate for sachets and capsules filling.
  • Lactalpha 150: a 150-mesh milled lactose for tablets from wet or dry granulation, sachets, and capsules filling.

All along the presentation, Safic-Alcan will provide meaningful insights on how their distribution aligns with our vision to bring the best of lactose to your activity, from their broad expertise to the security of their supply chain and sustainability.
